Police hunting wanted man following 'attempted murder in Glossop'

Police are appealing for help to find a man who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Glossop.

Wanted posters picturing the man have been circulated around Carrbrook, in Derbyshire, appealing for information today (October 27).

Jonny Joyce, aged 28, is said to be wanted in connection with an attempted murder and a separate domestic abuse incident.

The attempted murder took place on September 21 in Glossop at around 1.30am, police say.

A 22-year-old man received multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers from both Greater Manchester Police and Derbyshire are working together to locate him.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police confirmed Jonny Joyce was wanted.

They said: "This is for attempted murder and a separate domestic abuse incident.

"The attempted murder took place on 21 September in Glossop at around 1.30am.

"A 22 year-old man received multiple stab wounds and required hospital treatment.

"Jonny who is 28 years old is still outstanding and GMP are assisting with our enquiries to locate him."
