Police hunting man who failed to return to prison after hospital appointment

Police are searching for a man who failed to return to an open prison after he absconded during a hospital appointment.

Craig Inskip, 34, is serving an indeterminate sentence at Kirklevington Grange Prison in Yarm.

He disappeared following the appointment last Thursday.

Northumbria Police assumed control of the search after Cleveland Police issued a wanted appeal.

He has links to Wallsend and it is possible he may have travelled to the area.

Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him but to contact Northumbria Police on the 101-number, quoting his name.

Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by phoning them on 0800 555 111.
