Police hunting man in connection with racist incident on Scots train release CCTV

Police have issued images of a man they are looking for in connection with a racist incident on a train between Bridgeton to Dalmuir.

Officers from British Transport Police released the CCTV footage in a bid to track down the man.

Racism was directed towards a child on the train on March 20 around 4pm.

Police believe the man pictured has information about what happened .

In a statement they said: “Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

“He is described as approximately 60 years of age, heavy build, short greyish hair and glasses. He was wearing a blue adidas hooded top with three white stripes down the sleeves with a black shirt underneath, blue trousers, black trainers and he was carrying a white shopping bag.

“British Transport Police can be contacted by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2100018087. Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
