A member of the public was threatened with a knife after they stopped an Audi driver running away from a crash.
A silver Audi A3 model had been involved in a collision with a white van on Halliwell Road in Bolton, at 12pm on Monday, April 1.
When the motorist tried to run away, he was stopped by a member of the public on neighbouring Rushey Fold Lane.
Shortly afterwards, a second man, who reportedly had a scar under his eye, arrived at the scene in a silver Seat Ibiza.
He threatened the member of the public with a knife, before ushering the Audi driver into his car.
The pair then sped away from the scene.
The driver of the Audi A3 was described as Asian, between 19 to 24 years old and 6ft tall. He was slim with short dark hair, police said.

He was clean shaven and wore a red puffer jacket with black jeans.
The Seat Ibiza driver was described as mixed race, between 20 to 25 years old and had a scar under his right eye.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses who saw the crash, or were in the area at the time, to get in touch.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone with dash cam footage, they said.
Police did not say if the member of the public who intervened was a man or woman.
