Police hunting hooded man after terrifying Arbroath underpass assault

Police are hunting a hooded man following a terrifying assault in Arbroath.

The violent incident happened on Sunday 12 December and left the 39-year-old male victim with a serious injury to his elbow.

The attacker was dressed all in black with a black face mask and was about 5’10” tall and of average build.

The incident happened between 7.15pm and 7.30pm in the underpass connecting West John Street and Robert Street.

After the attack, the suspect was seen running in the direction of Morrisons and West John Street.

Constable Stephen Adam, from Arbroath Police Station, said: “We’re looking to hear from anyone who was in the area any may have seen anything suspicious, or believes they saw the man in question. “

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 1104 of 13 December.
