Police hunting for convicted thief wanted on recall to prison

Police are hunting for a convicted thief who is wanted on recall to prison.

Officers are currently searching for Patrick Day from south Manchester. The 43-year-old was released from jail in May 2021.

He was previously locked up for theft offences, police said. Officers shared a mugshot photo of Day as part of an appeal for help to find him.

Alongside the photo, police wrote: "#WANTED | We are appealing for your help to trace Patrick Day (30/04/79) from South Manchester who is wanted on recall to prison. He was released in May 2021 after being jailed for theft offences.

"Anyone with information about Patrick's whereabouts should call police on 0161 856 3508 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via on 0800 555 111."
