Police hunting flasher who exposed himself to women in Wishaw streets

Police are seeking the help of the public after a man indecently exposed himself to several women in Wishaw.

Between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Sunday, October 4, the man flashed his private parts to women in Castlehill Road, Netherton Road and Netherton Street.

Sergeant Allan Barnstaple, of Wishaw Police Office, said: “These incidents have caused quite some distress to the young females who were subjected to these incidents.

“This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable and it is vital that we trace the man responsible.

“He is described as being Asian in appearance, stocky build with short dark messy hair and a short black beard. He was wearing a black or blue short sleeved t-shirt and blue jeans.

“He has a tattoo on his left arm. I would appeal to anyone who may have been on any of these roads on Sunday evening to get in touch with us on the 101 number if they saw anything which might help in this investigation.

“In particular we are keen to trace what has been described as a black coloured VW Golf car which was seen in these areas around this time.

“I would also ask if anyone who may have been in a vehicle fitted with a dash-cam device on these roads on Sunday evening could check their device to see if it holds any information which might assist us.

“Callers should quote the reference number 3438 of 4 October 2020. Anyone wishing to pass on any information whilst remaining anonymous can do so through Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111.”
