Police hunting driver who 'unbelievably' ran off from this crash uninjured

Police are searching for the driver of this car after it crashed on the outskirts of Cardiff.

Officers described it as "unbelievable" that they were able to run off before police got to the scene in the Llandough area.

They shared a picture of the damage to the car after the single-vehicle crash on Saturday (September 5) evening.

The front of the car is completely smashed in, the front wheels are buckled and the windscreen has disappeared.

It is difficult to identify the make of the car but police later said that it was a Ford Focus.

A post from the South Wales Police Roads Policing unit added: "This vehicle crashed in the Llandough area and the driver unbelievably ran off prior to our arrival apparently without injury.

"Enquiries have begun in an attempt to locate the driver."

One person commented: "Drove past this tonight ... amazed they could walk anywhere."

Anyone with information that could help the police should call South Wales Police on 101.
