Police hunt violent thug who left man with 'head injuries' at Scots train station

Police have launched a hunt for a yob who hit a man over the head at a train station.

Officers from British Transport Police have appealed for help to find the thug who left his victim with “significant head injuries” on Friday February 26 at around 7:15pm at Johnstone rail station.

The victim - who is still in hospital - was struck on the back of his head before he fell and banged his head on the pavement.

The suspect is described as a white male with short dark hair, around 5ft 6inches tall, wearing a Fila jumper with white writing, red cuffs and white stripes down the arms, and white tracksuit bottoms.

The suspect also had a black bag.
