Detectives are appealing for information following a wilful fire-raising incident which occurred in the Saltcoats.
A garage to the rear of a property in Sharphill Road, Saltcoats, was set alight at some point between 6.30pm and 7.40pm on Sunday.
Following a joint investigation between police and fire services, the incident is being treated as wilful.
Detective Constable Will Thomson from Saltcoats CID said: “The fire was set close to a number of residential properties and thankfully nobody was injured.
“This type of reckless behaviour will not be tolerated and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have noticed someone acting suspicious, or anything which could be significant, to please get in touch.
