Police hunt van driver after four-vehicle crash leaves motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries

Police are searching for the driver of a white van after a four-vehicle crash left a motorcyclist in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place on the A470 in the Brecon Beacons , between Libanus and Storey Arms, on Sunday afternoon where a van, car and two motorbikes were involved in a crash at a junction.

The rider of a Harley Davidson suffered life-threatening injuries and is currently in hospital, while the rider of a Suzuki suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours as a result and drivers were advised to avoid the area.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Police were called to the A470 between Libanus and Storey Arms at 2pm on Sunday, March 24, to a report of a collision involving four vehicles.

"A van, car and two motorbikes were involved in the collision, which occurred at an unclassified junction that leads to the A4215.

"The rider of a Suzuki suffered minor injuries, and the rider of a Harley Davidson suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

"The road was closed until just before 5pm while police investigated the scene.

"Police are appealing for witnesses, in particular a white van type vehicle that turned right into the unclassified road at the time of the collision."

Anyone with information that could help the police is asked to contact the Brecon Roads Policing Team on 101, quoting reference 169 of March 24.
