Police hunt two men after 'targeted' double stabbing in Sydney

Two men were stabbed at the purple house.

Police are hunting two men after a "targeted" double stabbing in the inner-Sydney suburb of Chippendale.

Emergency services were called to a house on Shepherd Street, Chippendale, at 8:40am today and the victims were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

One man in his mid-20s is in a critical condition while a 20-year old man is in a serious but stable condition.

Police said it was believed all those involved knew each other and the stabbing was related to a personal issue between them.

"We believe that the offenders we are seeking and the victims that are in hospital are known to each other in some respect, but we're still trying to tie that together," Acting Inspector Michael Egan from the Redfern Command said.

"It is a targeted attack. It isn't a random attack and that's the line of inquiry that we've established."

Police said they were seeking "at least" two men who were seen running along Daniels Street towards Buckland Street at about 8:30am.

Both men were wearing dark, hooded tops.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
