Police hunt two men after passenger left with fractured jaw in Victoria line robbery

A man has been left with a fractured jaw after being attacked with glass bottles on a London train during an robbery.

The incident occurred around 6am on Saturday May 9, while the man was on a Victoria line train from Stockwell to London Victoria.

He was approached by two men, with one of them picking up the man’s bag from the seat next to him.

When he took his bag back, the two men attacked him with glass bottles, smashing them over his head.

The assault then spilt onto the platform at Victoria station before the two attackers fled the station.

The man suffered a fractured jaw and required ten stitches to wounds on his head.

British Transport Police (BTP) have now released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the men has been urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 115 of 9 May. Information can also be given to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
