Police hunt two men after charity tin and cash stolen from West Lothian businesses

Police in West Lothian are appealing for information after two business were broken into in the Livingston area.

The incidents happened at around 9pm on Tuesday (21 January) at Almond Valley Heritage Centre and AKB Hair Salon.

While a charity tin and food items were stolen from Mill Farm at the Heritage Centre, cash was taken from AKB Hair Salon.

Police say there are looking for two men in connection with the break-ins.

The first suspect is described as a white, aged between 16 to 20 and of skinny build. He was wearing a black puffa jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

The second suspect is described as being aged between 14 to 20 and was a light-coloured hoody with a dark body warmer and dark-style jogging bottoms.

Detective Constable Rachel Royan of Livingston CID said: “We are treating these incidents as linked and are appealing to anyone who has information, or who may have seen anything in the area around this time, to get in touch."

Those with information are asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3547 of 21 January, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
