Police hunt two men after 64-year-old seriously assaulted in Paisley Road West pub

Police are hunting for two men after a 64-year-old was seriously assaulted in a pub on Paisley Road West.

Officers were called to the Parkway Bar on Friday night, where the 64-year-old man was found with injuries to his face and lacerations. He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his condition is described as stable.

Cops are now appealing for the public's help in tracking down two suspects.

Police Scotland say: "Around 9pm on Friday night, the 64 year-old man was within the Parkway Bar on Paisley Road West, Glasgow, when he was seriously assaulted by two men.

"Police and ambulance attended and the injured man was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for facial injuries and lacerations. Hospital staff describe his condition as stable.

"The first suspect is described as being between 5ft 10ins and 6ft in height and of stocky build with dark-brown short hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, jeans, white trainers and carrying a rucksack.

"The second suspect is described as being in his late 30s and bald. He was wearing a black t-shirt, grey jogging trousers and grey trainers."

Detective Constable Mark Hendry of Govan Police Station, added: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident, and we are following a number of lines of enquiry.

“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this attack take place, or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 4040 of 6th September. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
