Police are appealing for witnesses after thugs set three luxury cars ablaze in Hamilton in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews rushed to the scene at around 1am after the cars were deliberately torched on Hamilton Park South.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
Police are now searching for those responsible.
Detective Constable Craig Jolly, of Lanarkshire CID, said: “The fire posed a real risk to life. Fortunately the Fire Service was able to deal with the incident and no one was injured.
“Three high value vehicles, two BMWs and a Mercedes, worth collectively over £150,000, were involved and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the early hours of the morning that could help with our inquiries.
“Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0180 of 19 September, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
