Police hunt thug who forced man to ground and stamped on his head in Drumchapel

Police are appealing for witnesses to track down a thug who seriously assaulted a man in Drumchapel.

The 43-year-old victim was grabbed, forced to the ground before his head was stamped on at a pedestrian crossing in Kinfauns Drive.

The incident happened at around 7:48pm on Friday September 27.

The victim received a cut to his head as a result. Detective Constable Craig Martin at Drumchapel CID said: "It appears that the victim left a nearby betting shop with the man we want to trace for this assault, shortly before the assault took place.

"The man we want to trace is described as being male, white, in his 20s, short dark hair, slim build, and was wearing a black jacket, grey trousers and had a black back pack with him.

"We also was to speak to the occupants of a silver coloured Ford Focus which was parked near to the pedestrian crossing where this assault took place. Anyone who can help should call us on the 101 number, quoting the reference number 3670 27 September 2019."
