Police hunt Robroyston thug after car windows smashed in 'frightening' incident

Police are hunting for a thug who smashed car windows in Robroyston in what's been described as a 'frightening incident'.

Officers were called to the the scene of the disturbance in Auchinleck Gardens in the north of Glasgow at around 9pm last night.

Police are now looking for the suspect who is described as a white man in his early 30s, around 5’5. He fled from the street in a silver or black mini and may have been with a woman at the time.

Detectives are encouraging anyone with information to come forward.

A Police Scotland statement published this afternoon confirmed: "Police in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a disturbance in Robroyston on Wednesday 14 April 2021.

"Officers were called to Auchinleck Gardens around 9pm, after the windows of a car were smashed.

"The suspect’s described as a white man in his early 30s, around 5’5. He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top, light coloured bottoms, and spoke with a local accent.

"He was possibly with a female with blonde hair, and he made off from the scene in a silver or black mini."

Detective Constable Stuart Nutt from Maryhill Police Station commented: “This has been a frightening incident for those involved. We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone with CCTV images or dashcam footage, to contact us via 101 quoting reference number 3771 of 14 April 2021".
