Police hunt road roller thieves after £25k machine nabbed from street by two men in van

Police are appealing for witnesses after brazen thieves stole a bright yellow road roller worth £25k from a street in Falkirk.

The Martin Plant Bomag 120 was taken from Bantaskine Street at around 7.15pm on Wednesday November 25.

Two men were seen in the area around the time of the bizarre theft and were driving a high-roofed Ford Transit van that is believed to be white.

It drove off in the direction of Windsor Road before being lost from sight.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage or who were in the area around the time of the theft to get in touch.

They have released an image of a similar-looking road roller in a bid to trace the stolen machine.

Those with information are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident reference number 3437 of November 25, 2020.
