Police hunt rapist who allegedly removed tracker in Brisbane

Police are searching for a dangerous sex offender who removed his electronic monitoring strap.

Police and Corrective Service officers are looking for Damien Kennedy, 28, who was supervised under the Dangerous Prisoners Sexual Offenders Act after being convicted rape and assault with intent to commit rape in 2008.

His last known location was in Salisbury in Brisbane's south at approximately 4:13pm on Monday afternoon.

He is described as being 171 centimetres tall, weighing 125 kilograms with fair complexion and shaven black hair.

He also had a number of tattoos including "Southside" across his neck, a Chinese demon on his right shin, "love & hate" on his right-inner forearm, "RUN A" on his right knuckle and "Muck" on his left knuckle.
