Police are hunting for a man who allegedly stole the blue lights from on top of a cop car.

Officers are on the hunt for a thief who made off with the lights from the car which was parked outside the rail station.

British Transport Police have today release CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The picture shows a man carrying the long blue emergency services lights.

BTP said the theft took place at 4.29am on December 26.

Police are hoping the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help their investigation.

They have urged anyone who recognises the man or knows more about the incident to contact them.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 266 of 27/12/18. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
