Police hunt man who assaulted staff member in Maryhill pub

Police are appealing to trace a man who assaulted a worker at a pub in Maryhill .

Two men became involved in a verbal altercation at around 4:30pm on Sunday at the Woodside Inn near Hopehill Road.

One of the men then assaulted the other man before leaving the premises. The 27 year-old was injured but did not require hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 9, of medium build with short dark hair. When last seen he was wearing a dark bomber jacket, a blue polo shirt and blue denim jeans.

Constable Ross Birrell, Partick Police Office, said: "We have spoken to a number of people since this incident took place as well as reviewed CCTV footage in the area however we are now appealing to the wider public to get in touch with us if they have any information.

“Think back, were you in the area of Maryhill Road that Sunday – perhaps out for dinner or drinks? Do you remember an altercation taking place in this pub? We urge you to get in contact.”
