A police investigation has been launched after a dog walker was assaulted by a man in Irvine.
Officers are now looking for witnesses to the incident which took place near playing fields in the town’s Glenbervie Wynd.
A police spokesman told the Irvine Herald: “About 6.30pm on Tuesday, August 20, a lady and her dog were assaulted near to the playing fields at Glenbervie Wynd, Irvine. Both received minor injuries and enquiries are ongoing to identify the person responsible.
“Police are appealing for witnesses, and request that anyone who may have information, or were in the area at the time of the incident to call 101 quoting incident 3245 of August 20.”
