Police hunt man over sexual assaults on three teenage girls in Westfield Stratford

Police are trying to trace a man in connection with three sexual assaults on teenagers as young as 15 in Westfield Stratford.

The three incidents happened in July 2018 and the targets were two 15-year-old girls and one 18-year-old woman.

In each instance, the man followed his victims around the shopping centre, then they were assaulted over their clothing.

DC Paul Newton from Newham CID, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a hideous set of sexual assaults on young girls out enjoying a day in the shopping centre.

"The suspect has deliberately targeted women alone and has gone to some length to pursue them."

The first two incidents, involving 15-year-olds, happened on July 7 and 8, with the third occurring on July 21.

None of the victims required medical attention but each was said to be "distressed" following their ordeals.

DC Newham added: "If you know who he is or have also been a victim, I would urge you to get in touch."

Anyone with information concerning the identity of the man pictured is asked to call the Met Police via 07564 613 966 or Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.
