Police hunt man over sexual assault of teenager

Police are on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted a teenager during a daylight attack in an Ipswich park, west of Brisbane.

Investigators released a computer-generated image of a man they wish to speak to over the incident that took place on October 16.

The girl was walking through bushland near Jacana Crescent in Flinders View when the attack occurred about 1:30pm, police said.

They said the man sexually assaulted the girl after grabbing her.

The teenager then fled the scene.

The attacker has been described as Caucasian with slim build, 185 centimetres tall, with short dark brown hair, and is aged in his early 20s.

He was wearing a black T-shirt with brown or beige shorts.

Investigators have appealed for anyone who may have been near the Winston Glades Shopping Centre or Lloyd Park around the time of the attack to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
