Police hunt man after teen flashed, threatened with rape at Westminster pub

Police are hunting a man who flashed a 19-year-old woman and threatened to rape her before throwing a pint glass in a horror attack at a central London pub.

Detectives have released an image of a man they would like to speak to after the abuse of the teenager at a pub in Bishops Bridge Road in Westminster just before 11pm on May 18.

Scotland Yard said the man verbally abused the victim before exposing himself. He then continued his barrage of verbal abuse and threatened to rape her. Before he left the pub he threw a pint glass, which hit the wall and shattered near the victim.

The victim attended a west London police station the following day to report the incident.

Detectives have now released an image of a man who they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

DC Sean Crocker, the investigating officer from the Central West area’s CID, said: “This was an unprovoked and frightening incident for the young victim, and we are determined to bring the man responsible to justice.

“Tackling all forms of violence against women is a priority for all in the Met and all reports of sexual assault, such as this one, are taken extremely seriously.

“If you recognise the man in the photo, please get in touch with us, or Crimestoppers anonymously, as soon as possible.”
