Police hunt man after elderly woman robbed and husband's walking stick kicked on bus in south-east London

Police have released a CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with the theft of an elderly woman's phone on a London bus.

The woman, 80, was riding the 233 bus in Marechal Niel Parade in Sidcup, a south-east London suburb, at about 12.30pm on June 29.

The suspect got on the bus and refused to pay. He then began arguing with the driver and threatened to spit at him, police said.

When he saw the woman holding her phone, he grabbed it and kicked her husband’s walking stick before leaving the bus.
