A hunt is underway to find a man after a car parked in the back garden of a house was deliberately torched.
The vehicle was set alight in what detectives believe was an arson attack at the address in St Helens a week ago.
The blaze, which was started in the middle of the night, also spread to the house and damage was caused to the front door.
People inside the property, on Lever Street escaped from the targeted home, but nobody was injured during the incident.
It is unclear how or why the car ended up in the back garden.
Today, police said they were looking for Christopher Lane, originally from Whiston, who they have been unable to trace.

The fire broke out at about 4am, last Monday, in the Clock Face area of St Helens, which caused significant damage to the car.
The suspicious fire led to police carrying out forensic enquiries, house-to-house checks, and checking CCTV footage in the area.
Mr Lane, 29, is white, 5ft 8ins, and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone who knows of Lane’s whereabouts or can assist with the investigation is asked to DM @MerPolCC or contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111.
