Police hunt London serial 'puddle-splasher' who deliberately soaks pedestrians from 4x4

Police are hunting a driver who appears to deliberately drive through puddles in order to splash passers-by in London.

The driver, who drives a Toyota 4x4, was caught in the act when a pedestrian filmed them driving through a large puddle near Kentish Town tube station.

Police were able to take down the vehicle's registration in order to find the motorist, who could face careless driving charges, but found the vehicle was not registered to anyone and had no insurance.

The woman who captured footage of the car told the Camden New Journal: “There was a little old lady next to me, and this car came up really close to the kerb, splashing everyone.

“Then I saw him stop and I thought ‘oh my god, he’s going to do it again’, so I thought I’d take some footage.

"It might be fun for the driver, but I felt bad for this old lady, who was quite upset by it."

Police are appealing to anyone who may know the driver or who has any information about the incidents to come forward.
