Staff at the China Town takeaway in Linwood were subjected to a terrifying late night raid by an unmasked knife-wielding crook.
Employees were cleaning up after a busy shift when the thug entered the store in Mossedge Industrial Estate on Moss Road around 11.15pm last night.
The man, described as white, tall and in his 40's, branded a large knife and demanded cash.
He was handed a substantial three-figure sum before fleeing the scene.
A police spokesperson from Paisley CID said: "The man was unmasked and there is CCTV footage which is currently being investigated.
"Nevertheless we are keen to speak to anyone in the area at the time who has any information about the incident."
