Police are hunting jewellery thieves who raided a Biggar home on Christmas Day.

The house on Fleming Way was targeted between 2.15pm and 7.30pm, and a considerable amount of jewellery and other personal items were stolen.

Officers are now appealing to the public for information over the burglary and the snatched goods.

Constable Alex Burns, of Larkhall Police Station, said: “I would appeal to the community of Biggar and the surrounding area for any person who may have information about this incident or the property that was taken to get in touch to help with our investigation.

“This incident has had a profound impact on the family and we will continue to investigate and identify whoever is responsible.”

If you can help please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2047 of Friday, 25 December, 2020, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
