Police hunt gang over child sexual assaults

Police are hunting a group of men suspected of abusing several children at two properties in Wanniassa in the 1980s and 1990s.

ACT Police believe that three men, one from Canberra and two from New South Wales, brought boys to the houses in southern Canberra where they performed indecent acts on them.

In a statement, police said they believed that children from the ACT and NSW were abused by the same group, which appears to have been active over a sustained period of time.

ACT Policing's Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team has appealed for any information regarding the assaults, including any who may have been a victim.

Those with information are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the act.crimestoppers.com.au website.
