Police hunt for woman after man's body found stuffed inside freezer at her home

Police are hunting down a woman after a man's body was found in a freezer at her home.

A warrant has been issued for Barbara J. Watters' arrest after the the corpse was discovered in her home on Monday.

Officers searched her home after being told about a possible body in the property while investigating an unrelated arson case, reports say.

Police have released a picture of Watters, along with her vehicle registration and a picture of her car model.

A spokesman for Joplin Police Department said: "On November 13th 2019 a warrant was issued for Abandonment Of A Corpse for Barbara J. Watters.

"The bond amount has been set at $100,000.

"If you have any information on the whereabouts of Watters, you are asked to contact the Joplin Police Department immediately or your local law enforcement agency.

"The investigation is on-going. An autopsy is being scheduled for the deceased male."

The man found in the freezer has yet to be formally identified by his next of kin.

It comes months after Jasmina Dominic's body was found in a freezer at her family's home 19 years after she disappeared.

Jasmina Dominic, who was last seen in 2000 aged 23, was said to be “working abroad”, according to her family.

But her corpse has been found in a freezer in the hallway of the Dominic family home in the village of Pavlovec, near Zagreb, Croatia, police said.
