Police hunt for wanted man in connection with 'Kill the Bill' riot

Police have renewed their appeal to find a man wanted in connection with the Kill the Bill riots in Bristol last March. Exactly a year ago today (March 21), a protest against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill turned violent outside Bridewell police station.

Dozens of police officers and protesters were injured as both sides clashed in a night of violence. Police have since arrested more than 80 people in connection with what happened that night, with more than 40 being charged and more than 12 people having been jailed to a combined total of more than 55 years.

Today (Monday), Avon and Somerset police have renewed their appeal to find a man wanted in connection with the riot on Sunday, March 21. 2021.

Police have released a picture of Benjamin Broadribb and say detectives would like to speak to him. According to the force the 28-year-old is likely to be in Bristol although he also has links to Glastonbury and Southampton.

He’s white, tall, of slim build and has long wavy brown hair.
