Police are appealing for information to help find a Scottish man who kept £25,000 meant to be used for accommodation for nurses.
John Allison, who is also known as both Jay Allison and John Kerr, is 34-years-old and from Kilmarnock. He is wanted for fraud offences involving four Blackpool hotels.
Between September and December 2019, he is thought to have worked for a nursing agency, making bookings to supply accommodation for agency nurses.
He allegedly took £25,000 that was meant to be passed on to the hoteliers for the stays.
Allison has been described as white with short dark hair and speaks with a Scottish accent.
He has links to the Crook area of Durham as well as Blackpool.
Although an investigation was launched and recent attempts were made to speak to him, Allison has not come forward.
Det Con Lucy Cross, of Blackpool CID, said: “Allison is wanted in connection with serious offences of defrauding four hoteliers in Blackpool.
“A substantial amount of money is believed to have been taken. Allison initially assisted with our inquiry but despite numerous attempts to locate him, he has not come forward and spoken to police.
“I would urge anyone who knows him, or maybe in contact with him, to get in touch and urge him to contact us immediately.”
