Police hunt for relatives of Glasgow mum 'murdered' in England

Authorities are trying to trace relatives of a 55-year-old Glasgow woman allegedly murdered in Middlesbrough.

Allison McKenzie's body was discovered at a flat in the Berwick Hills area last Wednesday.

Police confirmed that Ian McKenzie, 34, has been charged with murder.

The Coroner's Service in Teeside has appealed for help in tracking down Allison's siblings, who are believed to live in the Glasgow area.

Cops fear missing woman who survived deliberate house fire may have been murdered  

A murder investigation was launched after police arrived at the scene at around 9.30am on March 20.

Ian McKenzie appeared Teeside Magistrates' Court and was remanded to custody.

The case was referred to the Crown Court for a further hearing, expected to take place on Friday.
