Police are hunting for a man who hurled a brick at an Uber driver's windscreen in an "unprovoked attack."
Stewart Williams was driving along Southport Road, near to Oxford Road in Bootle on Thursday, April 8, when the brick was thrown at his Skoda Octavia.
Dash-cam footage showed the moment the brick shattered Stewart's windscreen, leaving him with glass in his eyes, ears and throat.
He is thankful that no passengers were in his taxi at the time and that he managed to come away with minor injuries.
However, he has now been left unable to work on the week when more lockdown restrictions were lifted and he must try and find the money to have his car repaired.
Merseyside Police are appealing for information from members of the public and are asking witnesses to contact them.
The suspect is described as a white man, in his 30s, 5ft 6in tall and slim with short hair, and wearing a dark bomber jacket.

Stewart told the ECHO: "I was working that night, there could have been a passenger in the car. I don't want this man getting away with it.
"I've been struggling to get to this point as a taxi driver and just as things are starting to pick up now I can't work.
"I'm now trying to find even more money to get [the car] repaired so I can carry on working when we come out of the other side of this lockdown.
"At the moment, as it stands, I don't know how I'm going to sort it out. I'm waiting until Monday to see what the bill is."
Sergeant Jenni Bowman said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack which could have caused serious injury to the driver and other road users.
"If you saw the incident or have any information, please contact us directly or anonymously and we will take action.”
