Officers are also appealing for witnesses after the incident took place outside Clarendon College at around 4pm on March 16.

A man is reported to have assaulted a woman in the street.

The man, described as black, is around 6ft tall and thought to have been wearing a black leather jacket at the time of the incident.

He is believed to have assaulted a woman carrying a Lidl shopping bag.

Police Constable Terri Turner, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Violent crime has no place in our city and we will investigate all reports made to us thoroughly.

“I’m appealing for anyone who may have information or dashcam footage that could aid our investigation to get in touch via 101 quoting incident number 570 of 16 March 2020.”
