Police hunt for hit-and-run driver who injured motorcyclist in Glasgow crash

Police are hunting for the driver of a Ford Fiesta involved in a hit-and-run incident in Glasgow.

The silver car was involved in a crash with a motorbike on Barmulloch Road in Springburn on Thursday morning.

The male motorcyclist was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for an injured arm.

Police Scotland is appealing for information and officers would like to trace the driver of the Ford Fiesta, which made off from the scene.

It is possibly a 2002 to 2008 model.

PC David Caldwell, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “The motorcyclist received treatment for an arm injury.

“We are keen to trace the driver of the silver Ford Fiesta. The Fiesta is possibly a 2002 – 2008 model.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us, along with any motorists who may have captured the incident on dash cam.

"You may have footage which could assist enquiries.

“Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1130 of 8 July, 2021.”
