Police hunt for gold Jeep-style vehicle after cyclist, 68, injured in hit-and-run

Police are working to trace a gold Jeep-style vehicle after a 68-year-old cyclist was injured in a hit-and-run.

Officers said the incident happened on the B600, in Nuthall, at 3.50pm on Monday, May 13.

They said a "gold-coloured Jeep-type vehicle" left the scene of a crash with a cyclist.

The cyclist, a 68-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw a gold-coloured Jeep-type vehicle leaving the scene of the incident, or who may have recorded dash cam footage in the area at the time."

An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: "We received a call at 3.39pm on May 13 to Nuthall Island on the A610.

"The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision between a bicycle and a car.

"We sent a crewed ambulance and one patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.”

Anyone with information which may help the police investigation is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 600 of May 13.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
