Police hunt firebugs after two cars torched in Glasgow

Police are hunting firebugs in Glasgow after two cars were torched in an early-morning blaze attack.

Officers were called to Potterhill Road in the Pollok area at around 9.45am on Tuesday.

Two cars were damaged as a result of the blaze.

No injuries have been reported at this stage.

The cause of the fire was not disclosed.

Police are treating the incident as wilful fire raising.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Witnesses and anyone with information is being urged to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Record: “ At around 9.45am on Tuesday, August 24, officers were called to a report of two cars damaged after a fire in Potterhill Road, Pollok, Glasgow.

"The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 0826 of August 24."
