Police hunt East Lothian thieves who stole unique frog statue

Police are appealing for information after a giant frog ornament was stolen from a Lothian garden.

Officers in Musselburgh are investigating the incident after thieves hopped off with the statue and a series of other ornaments.

The items are believed to have been stolen some time between October 1 and October 20 from a home in Inveresk, with the owners now without many of their garden's prized features.

An image has been released of the frog itself, which is built from cast iron.

The unique animal can be seen standing on its back legs and spitting water into the pond as part of a fountain feature.

However, the leap frog has now been reported as stolen, as police ask anybody with information relating to the theft to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2437 24/10/2020.
