Police hunt crooks who burgled six TVs from one flat in £7k raid

Police are hunting crooks who stole £7,000 worth of electronics - including six flat screen TV’s – all from one flat.

West Lothian officers posted an appeal for information yesterday afternoon (Saturday June 6) about the housebreaking, in which the thieves made off with the massive haul.

They said the incident happened within a flat on Hopetoun Street, Bathgate, between Wednesday, 13 May, 2020 and Friday, 5 June, 2020. It's believed the car park at the rear of Royal Bank of Scotland was used to access the back of the property.

Various items were stolen including six large flat screen televisions, projectors, mixing desks and public address system speakers. West Lothian police reported the value of the stolen items is approximately £7,000.

Detective Constable Ross Collett, of West Lothian CID, said: "The break-in was reported to us yesterday and although this happened at some point over the past three weeks, we're hopeful the incident attracted attention due to the type of items stolen.

"The items were large and heavy so a vehicle may have been involved in moving them."
