Police hunt chubby yellow toothed thug who tried to rob schoolboy in early morning attack

Police are hunting a chubby yellow-toothed thug who tried to rob a schoolboy in Kilwinning.

The attack took place at around 8.35am on Monday, March 16 on the footpath between McGavin Way and Claremont Crescent.

A 14-year-old boy was approached and grabbed by a man who demanded money from him before making off towards the Townhead area of Kilwinning.

The suspect is described as white, in his 30s, around 5ft 3ins to 5ft 4ins, chubby build, dark messy brown hair, stained yellow teeth and stubble.

He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a maroon zipper top and blue jeans.

Detective Constable Scott Hendry, North Ayrshire CID, said: “Anyone with information about the incident can contact North Ayrshire CID via 101.
