POLICE are hunting for a “gold or silver” vehicle which fled the scene of a crash on the A9 which hospitalised a campervan driver.
The incident happened on the A9 between Calvine and Dalnamein in Perthshire, just north of the famous House of Bruar department store, at around 6.10pm on Wednesday, July 30.
Officers said that the 36-year-old female driver of a white Volkswagen campervan had to be taken to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital for treatment, but the other vehicle involved in the crash fled before police arrived.
There were no reports of other injuries, and the road re-opened at around 7.30pm.
Constable Mathew Ross, Perth Roads Policing said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
