Police hunt after woman in her 20s bitten by dog near Long Eaton school

Police have launched an appeal after a woman in her 20s was reportedly bitten by a dog near a school in Long Eaton.

The incident occurred on the footpath on Petersham Road at around 2.45pm on Wednesday (December 29).

The woman was left with minor injuries according to police.

A force spokesperson said: "The victim, a woman in her 20s, reported that she had been bitten by a German shepherd dog that was being walked by a man on a bike on the footpath on Petersham Road, close to the school, at around 2.45pm on December 29.

"The woman was left with minor injuries.

"The owner of the dog was described as white and was wearing a pair of grey shorts, a grey and white beanie hat and the dog was on a long lead."
