A woman in her 60s was followed into the street and shoulder-barged into the path of a bus after an argument in a supermarket, police said.

The Met today released this image of a woman being sought in connection with the incident which began when the victim was barged in the aisle of a Tesco Express in Victoria.

A few minutes later the woman was standing at traffic lights on Vauxhall Bridge Road when the same woman came up and shoved her into the path of an oncoming bus.

She fell forward into the passenger doors and suffered grazes and bruising to her ankles, shins and knees, a cut to the top of her head and muscle injury to her shoulders.

Detective Constable Samantha Edwards said: “This appears to have been an unprovoked assault which left the victim very distressed.”

Anyone who can identify the woman in the CCTV image from May 29 last year should call the Serious Crime Unit at Westminster police on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
