File image.

NSW Police have been told two men wearing balaclavas entered the Shelly Beach Road Golf Club at Shelly Beach, on the Central Coast about 9pm on Monday night.

The two men came through the front door, one of whom was armed with a firearm, and threatened a security guard, patrons and staff.

The armed man forced entry into a locked room and demanded cash from an employee, before both men fled the scene on foot towards Shelly Beach carpark.

Officers from Tuggerah Lake Police District attended and established a crime scene, and are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a Central Coast golf club yesterday.

As inquiries continue, investigators would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

One man is described as being of thin build, wearing beige pants and a dark shirt.

A second man is described as wearing a black hooded jumper, dark pants, and shoes.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

As investigations into the robbery continue, police are urging anyone who may have information or dashcam/CCTV to contact Wyong Police Station on (02) 4356 6099 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
