Police used a helicopter to try to hunt down a man who had threatened staff while holding a bow and arrow at a Nottingham McDonald's.

Officers were called to the McDonald’s restaurant in Castle Marina at around 7.50pm on Thursday evening (February 6) following reports of a man threatening staff while in possession of the bow and arrow.

No one was injured in the incident. A police helicopter was called to assist in the search for the man.

Police have not yet found the man and are urging the public to contact them with any information.

Inspector Andrew Wright, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We take all reports of threatening and intimidating behaviour very seriously and will investigate this incident thoroughly to locate the man.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information should contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 873 of 6 February 2020.”
