A police helicopter has been hovering over Urmston looking for a "wanted male".
Police said officers sighted the individual late on Saturday night. He was believed to be on the B5158 Flixton Road near its junction with Ambleside Road.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) took to Twitter to appeal for the public's help in tracking down the male. GMP Urmston urged anyone in the area who sees anyone suspicious or someone avoiding police to contact them.

In a tweet at 11.18pm on Saturday, GMP Urmston wrote: "Officers have recently sighted a wanted male on Flixton Road, Flixton Junction Ambleside Road. Search currently ongoing and you may be aware of the Police Hellicopter above.
"If you see anyone suspicious or someone avoiding police please contact us ASAP thanks."
